The 21st Century Alliance is fighting for a better future in California where we solve problems and get results. We help elect common sense candidates, hold legislators accountable, pass smart bills, and stop bad policy that caters to special interests.
Who We Are
The 21st Century Alliance is a nonpartisan movement of more than 5,000 advocates from across California who want to see California thrive. We work to promote common sense over ideological extremes in our state's politics, and make measurable progress on California's toughest issues: housing costs, homelessness, poor public school outcomes and weak public services despite relatively high taxes.
The 21st Century Alliance (21CA) was founded to support legislators who stand up to pressure from special interest groups and support policy that benefits all Californians. We focus on best practices and work with experts to make meaningful, measurable progress on issues like housing, education and efficient, effective public services.

The 21st Century Alliance (21CA) works to elect candidates who commit to put problem-solving over politics. That’s not always easy when special interests spend millions to control policy outcomes.21CA balances the scales by providing resources so legislators can do their best work to advance the Common Good.

We help legislators pass smart policy like streamlining permitting processes that make it easier and cheaper to build housing. Our Capitol Team of policy experts, advocates, Sacramento insiders, and lobbyists engage legislators in Sacramento and track the 2,000+ bills introduced each session, while our supporter base of over 5,000 Californians holds elected leaders accountable by making calls to legislator offices, sending emails and letters, signing petitions, and making their voices heard.
21CA rallies citizen engagement across the state wit targeted outreach campaigns to educate voters on key bills and policy. That makes it harder for legislators in the pockets of powerful special interest groups to pass bad laws under the radar, and dodge accountability for their actions.
